For Our Culture. For Our Community. For Our Pets.

HBCU Breed is more than just a pet apparel brand—it’s a movement, and a way for HBCU families to represent their schools with pride. Founded by Victoria Henry-Hampton, a proud FAMU alum, musician, and entrepreneur, HBCU Breed was created to bring the same Historically Black Legacy, Energy, and Culture that we hold dear, to our furry family members.

As a proud HBCU grad, I know the pride that comes with repping your school. The chants, the traditions, the "Oh sweetness, I go/went to an HBCU ;)" spirit—it’s all part of who we are. But as a pet lover, I noticed something missing: a way for our dogs (and their owners) to showcase that same school pride. That’s where HBCU Breed was born.

Every hoodie, tee, and accessory is designed with HBCU love and legacy in mind. Whether you’re an alum, a student, an HBCU adjacent relative lol, or just someone who supports Black excellence, this brand is for you!

We’re not just selling pet apparel—we’re creating a space where HBCU culture and pet culture collide. And we’re just getting started.
